Our mission was to reconstruct the Dornier GS1 waterplane photorealistically in 3D. The computergenerated model was then integrated in filmed footage from 1940. A big challenge was to readjust the movement of the waves to the flying boat. The animations were produced for the german tv stations ‘zdf’ and ‘arte’ for their history of science program ‘Mission X’.
