Mathias studied visual communication at Folkwang Universität der Künste and Fachhochschule Düsseldorf and has been working in the field of design, motion graphics and art direction for more than 15 years, mainly for television stations such as ARD, Westdeutscher Rundfunk, Viva TV and ZDF.
In 2007 he moved to Buenos Aires to join multidisciplinary design studio Remolino as a graphic designer and made a lot of stuff – branding, illustration, typography, webdesign, print – for a variety of clients from Latin America, Europe and the US.
Since 2009 Mathias has been living in Berlin where he runs motion design studio »Ciencolores« and occasionally works as a lecturer, amongst others at AMD Academy of Fashion & Design in Berlin, at Jilin Animation Institute in Changchun and at Shanghai Normal University, both in China.
