Phil Porter was born in Bremen, Germany in 1988
Mr. Porter is founder of the art movement ‚Avantgarde Noire‘. He works as a photographer and painter. Phil Porter is also known for his black-and-white photography and his marvellous imagination paired with minimalistic lines and geometric forms. In his recent period he’s painting sociocritical pictures with sexual and violent allusions.
Porter only uses the colours black, white and red for his paintings. His main characteristics are the abstract cheekbones, the tangling hands and a industrially symbolism with a surreal note.
For the “blackwhite series” Mr. Porter painted over 30 pictures in two weeks for art lovers all over the world for free. His shortfilm “Heimat” had it’s premiere at the exhibition “Privatsache” in Loehne, 2010. Mr. Porter has been discovered by the “art magazin” in 2010.
Phil Porter lives and works in Nordrhein-Westfalen and Bremen, Germany.
