I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and a Master’s Degree in Character
Animation. A couple of Diplomas certify that, but in practice I’m also illustrator, photographer, retoucher, artisan and capoeirista.
As a graphic designer, I began working in corporate image, editorial/web design for well-known magazines and newspapers, and later on, by discovering Flash, the idea of learning and creating Animated Short Films got stuck in my head. So I quit my day job and decided to study Animation at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, where I made my first short movie (Robotito, Scan for Life) and learned the complete process; designing a world, make the script, model characters and build scenarios, make a story board and animatic, and making visual effects.
After this experience I realize I really wanted to go through this path and learn more so decided to join iAnimate.net, a character animation training teached by instructors and people from the biggest animation studios in the world.
Time has shown to me I made a good decision. I’m really happy and satisfied to discover each day, how all my aristic skills inform each other, and above all, will do forever.
Also physical activities such as Capoeira, Contemporary Dance and Yoga, have been amazing tools to get to know my body, learn how to control it, loose it up, and use it as a reference and a huge tool to create animations that will finally allow me to express what I want, and tell a short story in the most honest possible way.
