As part of an urban artistic project, I was asked to illustrate the feeling of Europe in one picture. In german there is a saying which literally translates as“being under one blanket”. It means that we are in there together and have common plans and common goals. I do see Europe that way and even though the blanket is a Patchwork Quilt, made out of lots of colourful and diverse pieces, there is still so much we have in common.
Over the course of the year the illustration will be roaming the streets of Brussels as a big-scale print.
