As a young stylist (27) Benny Van de Velde stands out through his original, highly personal yet creative approach, and the interpretation of the assignments entrusted to him.
In 2008 he obtained a degree in Fashion & Styling at the Academy in Brussels with a unusual collection he designed ‘Funky Funeral’.
In 2008 Benny Van de Velde has been chosen amongst more than 200 Belgian candidates as one of the 12 finalists for the reality TV programm “De Designers”, based on the format “Project Runway”. The production team recognized him for his exceptional styling skills. This led him to the world of creating couture ensembles and masterminding the styling for fashion shootings.
Before becoming an independent stylst, he has been working with the agencies ‘C’est Chique’ and ‘Touch’ (Dominique Models), carrying out various assignments for photo shootings. He also was assistant to acclaimed stylist Benoît Béthume.
