Job posting FAQ
What a job posting on dasauge costs, how long it runs, when it goes live and how applications reach you.
What does a job posting cost?
You can choose between three packages:
-
Free
Structured job posting without a logo or designed PDF. -
Premium
Prominent placement with an optional company logo. -
Design
Premium placement with a company logo and a designed PDF as the primary advert. The PDF is only required for publication.
Premium and Design postings appear before free ones in the job list. You can also switch a free posting to Premium or Design later with “Premium”.
How long does my posting run?
Every job posting runs for 30 days from its publication. It doesn't renew automatically, and hiding it doesn't pause the runtime.
You choose when it starts in the last step: immediately, scheduled for a date of your choice, or later, when you publish it yourself from your job postings. You start a booked Premium or Design package within three months after it becomes available; the runtime only begins with the actual publication.
When does my posting go live?
As you choose in the last step: immediately, on the scheduled date, or later. Before that, it needs:
- Your confirmed email address. We send you the link for it by email. Until you confirm, your posting stays saved.
- For free postings by new members: our review. We look at the posting before publication, usually by the next business day. Afterwards, it goes live as chosen.
- For Premium and Design: the package becoming available. With card payment once payment is confirmed; with payment by invoice, depending on the payment terms, once payment is received or as soon as the invoice is issued. Booked postings then skip the regular review. For Design, the PDF must also be uploaded and processed.
Can I stop and continue later?
Yes. From the first “Next” on, we save your draft after every step. You'll find it in the member area under your job postings and continue there with “Continue”.
Can I change my posting after publication?
Yes, until its runtime ends, from your job postings: With “Edit”, you change the title, description, company, location, how to apply and the other details. The package, runtime, publication date and public URL stay unchanged.
For Premium and Design, you replace the company logo and the design PDF under “Media”. A published PDF stays visible until the new one is fully processed.
For free postings by new members, we review changes before they go live; until then, the previous version stays visible.
In your job postings, you can switch a free posting to Premium or Design later with “Premium”. It then gets a full new runtime of 30 days.
How do applications reach me?
In the “Description & application” step, you set where your posting's apply button leads:
- Via a website: to your application form or careers page.
- By email: it opens an email to the address you enter. Applicants see this address.
Applications go directly to you. dasauge doesn't receive applications itself.
How do invoices and VAT work?
Premium and Design can only be booked by businesses and self-employed people for their professional activity, not by consumers. All prices are net; VAT depends on your billing address:
- Germany: plus German VAT.
- Another EU country: without German VAT, as the tax liability passes to you (reverse charge). For this, we need your VAT ID, which we check with the German Federal Central Tax Office. Name and address must match the details registered there.
- Outside the EU: without German VAT.
You can pay by card or by invoice; you see the payment terms before ordering. You'll find your invoices in the member area under Invoices, to download as PDF.
Where do I redeem a voucher?
In the “Price & visibility” step: on the Premium or Design package, click “I have a voucher”, enter the code and choose “Apply voucher”. The reduced price then shows right in the package and applies to the booking as well.
Vouchers only apply to Premium and Design; which of the two depends on the voucher. You can redeem one voucher per posting.
What do I need to know about the design PDF?
The designed PDF is the main advert of your Design package; the company logo appears next to it and in the job list. Upload a PDF file of up to 20 MB. We show a single-page advert as an image and a multi-page one to scroll through; applicants can also download the PDF.
You can upload the PDF in the “Price & visibility” step or add it later, at the latest for publication. If you switch an existing free posting to Design, it must be fully processed before booking. Afterwards, you replace it under “Media”.
Can I end my posting early or cancel it?
You can take your posting offline at any time with “Hide” in your job postings; “Unhide” makes it visible again. Hiding doesn't pause or extend the runtime.
For booked Premium and Design postings:
- Before the first publication, you can contact us to cancel and receive a full refund of the price paid; we credit an invoice that is still open. There is no self-service cancellation in the member area.
- After the first publication, hiding doesn't entitle you to a refund. We review a refund request separately.
- If we finally reject a booked posting before its first publication, we refund the full price paid.
The details are in section 8 of the terms and conditions.
Can I post jobs for my clients as an agency?
Yes. You enter the company in the posting in the “Company & location” step, independently of your account – so it can be your client's name. You must be authorized to advertise the position for them, and the employer, role and conditions must be stated accurately.
Booking and payment run through your account: we issue the invoice to the billing details you enter when booking, and you'll find it under your invoices. For each posting, it names its title, your client and, if you enter it when booking, your order reference. There is currently no team feature that lets several people use one account.
Agencies get an agency commission on booked Premium and Design postings. Write to us to have it set up for your account.
