Pileus combines the graceful aeronautics of a zeppelin with the street mobility of a car, creating a vehicle that stands for lightness and emotionality. The elastic balloon envelope is stowed away in the roof and is inflated by helium that is also carried on board.
After landing, the helium is pumped back into the pressure cylinders. The wheel rims pivot during aviation and function as propellers. This is how the joy of driving and flying is emphasized and therefore travelling in itself is put in a new, poetic perspective.
